Dana Ginn, COO and Co-Founder of Gotara
Dana gave up a successful corporate career in 2020 to join her great friend and mentor, Sangeeta, as she launched Gotara. After 25+ years of delivering stellar results within companies, leading innovation and strategic initiatives, transforming and merging operations, training and coaching leaders, and teaching at universities, she is absolutely delighted to pursue her ultimate passion—helping organizations, specifically the talent within them, achieve their full potential.
Dana has held project, design, and engineering leadership roles in oil and gas; operations engineering roles in manufacturing; process improvement roles across numerous organizations; and senior consulting roles working with leaders in financial services, tech, and retail. Her journey with Sangeeta began at Nielsen, where they collaborated on a leadership development program that upskilled 35,000 global employees and 130 leaders, transforming the global culture to value process thinking, metrics, and continuous improvement while delivering a significant top- and bottom-line impact. This experience honed her skills in leading large-scale transformative initiatives and working with diverse teams. She has held senior roles at HUB International and Nielsen and consulted with premier organizations such as Northrop Grumman, GE Capital, and CHANEL.
At Gotara, she has played a pivotal role in creating and launching their flagship product, achieving a speed four times faster than the industry standard. She has educated, coached, and mentored hundreds of leaders worldwide. Today, Dana is a senior advisor supporting leaders going through post-M&A integrations and transformations to deliver business impact, all while scaling leaders. She uniquely blends her love of science and statistical background with deep empathy in all her interactions. She continues to receive rave reviews on the impact she creates with leaders who have the opportunity to work with her.
Dana completed her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and subsequently earned an MBA from the University of Chicago. She then co-authored two industry-standard Lean Six Sigma books (sold on Amazon.com). Outside of her professional accomplishments, she is a proud parent of three adult children and a grandmother of two girls. She has a wonderful husband who supports her in everything she does, and her go-to hobbies are traveling, cooking, and playing raucous board games.
