Why Gotara

 

Gotara is on a mission to create higher-performing organizations by closing the gender gap in STEM+ fields. And we take it very personally!

We were founded by two STEM women who achieved career success while navigating many hurdles. These hurdles, unfortunately, still prevent millions of women from attaining the careers they want. And this not only holds the women back, but it also holds employers back when their talent can not work at their full potential or when this same talent leaves. Ultimately, this societal issue impacts the GDP where these employers are located. We are here to change all of that!

We work with tech-savvy organizations, their managers, and individual employees to remove those hurdles, help leaders grow at all levels, and help employers realize their diversity and business goals. Plus, we scale our work using the latest AI/ML technology.

        Strategic Account Executive (SAE)

         

        Position Summary:

        Gotara’s Strategic Account Executive (SAE) will help grow Gotara’s business focused on large enterprises and upper mid-market accounts in identified vertical industries. The SAE will help Gotara grow its reach to help STEM+ women in companies globally. This critical role will help us achieve our mission “to create higher-performing organizations by closing the gender gap in STEM + fields”. The success of this quota-carrying individual contributor role will be determined by the SAE’s ability to identify and close new business opportunities, grow the business, and establish new strategic relationships.

        Responsibilities:

        • Drive net new revenue in large enterprises and upper mid-market companies by identifying and closing contracts for Gotara’s Platform and Services.
        • Develop and maintain an active pipeline of net new opportunities to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual quota objectives.
        • End-to-end accountability for driving the negotiation, contracting, and approval processes.
        • Follow up on leads generated by marketing and/or sales development representatives, leveraging them to develop a sales pipeline.
        • Quickly develop strong, relationships with new customers by understanding their needs and business objectives. Fulfill the role of trusted advisor through the ability to leverage the extended Gotara team to develop opportunities with prospects.
        • Ensure strong/compelling customer proposals are delivered to the prospects in a consultative manner.
        • Accountable for account planning & customer relationship management. Responsible for the RFP/RFI from discovery to close.
        • Use sales tools, networks, and ecosystems to research companies, industries, and people to uncover business objectives and identify transformational opportunities.
        • Use professional network to gain the full buying committee and discover priorities.

        Qualifications:

        • Proven ability to consistently meet or beat quotas
        • 8+ years of experience in a sales and business development role with a technical company
        • Ability to work in a startup with an emphasis on collaborative, team-centric culture, and speed of execution
        • Strong project management and analytical skills
        • Demonstrated ability to use CRM tools (experience with Hubspot is a plus)
        • Must be legally authorized to work in the US

        This is a 100% remote, full-time contract position. Ability to convert to a permanent position after 120 days or after meeting some criteria. Salary commensurate with experience.

        Sales Development Representative (Cincinnati, Ohio based only)

         

        Position Summary:

        This individual will work to increase qualified leads and help Gotara grow its reach to help STEM+ women in companies around the world. This critical role will have the opportunity to work with Gotara’s senior leaders and help us achieve our mission “to create higher-performing organizations by closing the gender gap in STEM + fields”.

        Responsibilities:

        • Be knowledgeable about Gotara’s STAR Programs.
        • Identify prospective customers, generate leads, and convert to meetings.
        • Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs.
        • Emphasize the features of the programs and our platform to highlight how they solve customer problems.
        • Answer questions about the programs.
        • Collaborate with colleagues across Gotara organization.
        • Maintain contact lists and follow up with customers to continue relationships
        • Use Hubspot and train other Gotara leaders.
        • Identify innovative ideas to find and connect with potential customers around the globe. 

        Qualifications:

        • Prefer 2+ years of experience in a sales development role with a technical or learning & development company
        • Proven ability to generate qualified leads and support in closing deals
        • Ability to work in a startup with an emphasis on collaboration, a team-centric culture, and speed of execution
        • Strong project management and analytical skills
        • Experience with Hubspot or other marketing/sales automation systems
        • Must be legally authorized to work in the US
