Brand Building | Why It Is Critical for STEM+ Women

Women at all organizational levels need a basic understanding of how to promote themselves and establish their brands. Whether you are trying to explain a complex topic to the press or simply working to improve your visibility on a team, a strong and consistent personal message is key to getting ahead. In this workshop, members will learn how to create a framework for building a personal brand and how to embrace the power of storytelling to strengthen your message.

Lori Lennon, founder and CEO of Thinkubator Media, will join us for this inaugural technique workshop. Lori founded Thinkubator Media to elevate the profiles of women in STEM+. As part of launching Thinkubator Media, Lori interviewed women in STEM+ and uncovered some of the challenges we all face. She took on the bias as a personal challenge and built programming geared specifically toward removing the barriers to entry STEM+ women face while trying to advance their careers and promote their work.

Lori has a B.S. in Journalism from Northeastern University. Prior to founding her own company, Lori worked as the Director of Communications for the College of Science at Northeastern University. She also spent nearly a decade in television broadcasting, and made a run for political office. So please join us and learn how you can build a brand and self-promote.
