Dana Ginn, COO and Co-Founder Gotara
I’m Dana Ginn, COO and Co-Founder of Gotara. Four years ago, I transitioned from a corporate career to join my friend, Sangeeta, in launching Gotara. My 30+ years of experience spans delivering results across various industries, transforming operations, training and coaching leaders, and teaching at universities. Now, I’m thrilled to pursue my passion: coaching and advising tech talent to reach their full potential and drive organizational impact.
My background includes project, design, and engineering management in oil and gas; operations engineering in manufacturing; process improvement across diverse organizations; and consulting in financial services and tech.

My Journey as COO and Co-founder of Gotara
At Nielsen, Sangeeta and I collaborated on a leadership development program that trained 35,000 employees and 130 leaders. This program transformed Nielsen’s global culture, emphasizing process thinking, metrics, and continuous improvement, ultimately boosting top and bottom-line results. This experience solidified my expertise in leading large-scale transformations and collaborating with diverse teams. I’ve also held senior roles at HUB International and Nielsen, and consulted with premier organizations like Northrop Grumman, GE Capital, and CHANEL.
At Gotara, I was instrumental in creating and launching our flagship product, achieving a speed four times faster than the industry standard. I educate, coach, and mentor hundreds of professionals globally, leading operations and developing impactful programs that solve real business challenges and cultivate leadership. My statistical background allows me to offer analytics and insights to our customers.
I hold a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Chicago, and I co-authored two industry-standard Lean Six Sigma books (available on Amazon.com). Personally, I’m a proud parent of three, grandmother of two, and have a supportive husband. I enjoy traveling, cooking, and playing board games.
